Alexander Gilkie was a master builder based at Coldstream in Berwickshire, England. He was active as an architect, particularly in Berwickshire, in the late-18th and early-19th centuries.
Gilkie was born in 1756 and died on 3 May 1834. An inscription in Lennel Churchyard commemorates his life.
