James Nisbet, was a Scottish architect who was a mason by trade. He worked mainly in London, Glasgow and Northumberland and his commissions included Ednam House, Kelso (1761), and Ford Castle, Northumberland (1771), in the Gothic style for Sir John Hussey Delaval.
