John Hallam
John Hallam was a builder and a joiner from Nottinghamshire active in the late-17th and early-18th centuries. As a protegee of Sir Thomas Hewett, Surveyor-General of the Royal Works, he was made the Secretary in 1719. On Hewett's death in 1726 Hallam was displaced in favour of the Burlington protegees, Flitcroft and Hawksmoor.
