Richard Dickson

Richard Dixon was a Scottish architect active, particularly in Scotland, in the 19th century. He was born in 1792, the son of John Dixon, an Edinburgh builder, and Mary Crichton.

From 1817, Dickson worked in partnership with his brother Robert (born around 1794, died 1828) in the architectural practice R&R Dickson, based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Richard Dixon died in 1857. He is buried in Edinburgh along with his parents in the Old Calton Burial Grounds where a monument commemorates their lives.
