Robert Alexander Briggs was an architect and author active in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. He was born in London, England and practiced much of his work in and around its suburbs. In 1891 he published Bungalows and Country Residences, a book of designs and recently executed works which earned him the title 'Bungalow Briggs'. Following its success he published several other works including Homes for the Country in 1909. He is mostly associated with the Arts and Crafts style.
