William Owen

Who was William Owen?

William Owen, together with his brother James, was a Welsh architect working in Haverfordwest in the late Georgian and early Victorian periods. He practised as an architect and contractor in the 1820s and 1830s. Both brothers were responsible for several public buildings and large private houses and he became county surveyor of Pembrokeshire in 1832.

Owen also undertook building work, as at St Ann's Lighthouse at Dale in Pembrokeshire in 1844.
