The house is set in grounds to the south-west of Market Street, backing on to and possibly associated with Arrowscroft Mill (disused 1882). The house with buildings is surrounded by trees occupying approximately a quarter of the site. There is a productive garden to the south-east and a small pleasure ground to the south-west. Features include a pond on the southern tip of the site. The site remains extant. It is surrounded by housing development with a mill on the site of the original.
