Aughentaine has a maintained ornamental garden designed by Percy Cane for the present house of 1958. Features include double terraces, extensive tree plantings and a pond.

History

The earlier house, Aughentaine Castle, was built in 1860 and demolished about 1955. The present house was built in 1958 to the design of Claud Phillimore, with a new garden of 1958 by Percy Cane. Cane's garden included elements of the earlier garden including trees.
