Bainton House

Introduction

Bainton House is a 16th century manor house set in parkland.

The garden covers nearly one hectare, with a ha-ha at the edge of the park and to the west a spinney. There is a wild garden and in spring there is a fine display of bulbs.
History

Situated to the north of the village, this 16th and 17th century stone house overlooks a mini-park to the south-west towards the Stamford road, and is reached from a lodge via drive passing through the park.
