Bettisfield Hall (also known as Bettisfield Park)

Introduction

Bettisfield Hall has the part-walled and part-earthwork remains of a late-16th- to early-17th-century terraced garden. The house belonged to the Hanmer family at that time and was possibly the childhood home of the famous horticulturalist Sir Thomas Hanmer.
