Broughton Hall, Market Drayton

Introduction

The timber-framed hall (1637) remained in the Broughton family until the 20th century. The house is now surrounded by Victorian shrubberies and has a 1930s recreated knot garden. The walled garden remains partly in use, but the walls and wrought iron gates are deteriorating.
