Cheetham Park, Stalybridge

Introduction

Cheetham Park was created from two adjoining estates, Eastwood and the Priory, both given to Stalybridge town. Part of the Eastwood estate was left to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and it became their first bird reserve. The site is now a public park.
