Crackenthorpe Hall

A Grade ll* listed country mansion built in 1629 with the front elevation remodelled in the Palladian style in 1685 by Hugh and Thomas Machel. Later, the grand Victorian wing was constructed, in 1877, by Captain Octavius Machel. The house was restored by the current and previous owners after lying empty for many years. There are some 17th Century fireplaces and panelling in the Jacobean wing and fine cornicing in Victorian wing.
