Introduction

Gyrn Castle, remodelled in the early-19th century, has extensive views over the Dee and Mersey estuaries. The picturesque layout in the grounds dates from the same period and is centred on a series of lakes, with a circuit walk around the lakes and woodland. There are also late-19th-century terraces and an early-20th-century rock garden.
