Halkyn Castle

Introduction

A grand but largely informal garden and a small adjoining park survive at Halkyn Castle. The house and grounds both date from the early-19th century, when the house was built as a secondary residence for the Grosvenor family. There are walks through informal ornamental woodland, a small formal terraced garden and a small ornamental walled garden.
