Introduction

Hartsdown Park was created on land purchased in 1928 and opened to the public in 1929. The site now features a leisure centre, swimming pool and facilities for golf football and tennis. The site also include Margate Football Club's stadium.

A short avenue leads to the house, to the rear of which are the new Leisure Centre and swimming pool. There are some good specimen trees and shrubs but the emphasis is on amenity grassland for the golf course, the football pitches and tennis courts.
