Introduction
Hill End had a U-shaped house with numerous outbuildings, on a triangular site where Hillend Lane meets Huddersfield Road. There is a wooded area enclosing a small park. A lodge is shown on the Huddersfield Road. Other features include an icehouse in the wood and possibly a farm. The site survives in part. The house has been demolished but the farm is extant. Some houses have been built on the site along Huddersfield Road, but the rest of the site is open.
