Introduction

Private communal garden square dated about 1765. Walls include retaining walls to Hope Chapel Hill and Lane. Stone gate posts remain. Originally there was another enclosing terrace with houses which were built as lodging houses for visitors to the Hot Wells. It lies within the Clifton conservation area.
