Killowen Cottage

Introduction

Killowen features a house of about 1940 on a site between Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains. The garden, of the same date, was developed from an orchard and a cottage garden. Mature shelter belt trees and an ornamental garden with interesting planting remain.
