Llanrhaeadr Hall

Introduction

William Emes probably designed the walled kitchen garden and surrounding area at Llanrhaeadr Hall when the late-16th-century house was extended in the 1770s. A mid-19th-century layout by Thomas Penson survives including a formal approach, although the planting is more recent.
