Introduction
Longlands has a house with grounds to the north of Mottram Road. There were open fields on all other boundaries, and a lodge on Mottram Road. The house lies to the north of a very irregular site. There was a long drive curving around an open area through the wood from the road. The site is cut through by a number of streams. The site remains extant. The house and lodge survive. A modern map identifies the water tower (disused) to the south-east of the site. The motorway clips the northern edge of the site.
