Memorial Recreation Ground, Taddington and Priestcliffe

Introduction

This site is mainly meadow land, providing a habitat for many wild flowers. The High Well, previously the main water source for the village, is on this site, as are several lumps and bumps in the ground surface which may be indicative of old lead workings.
