Introduction
Millbank Hall has a house with grounds bounded by the River Mersey to the north, Corners Wood to the south and open fields on all other sides. The entrance is from Lock Lane to the lawned area in front of the house. The productive gardens lie to the east. There is also an open area, possibly lawned, with some individual trees to the rear. The site was probably associated with the Millbank Paper Works to the east which, with Millbank House, appears to be an extension of the site. The site remains extant, although its present use is not clear.
