Introduction
The house, with a small park, is bounded by Chorley Old Road to the north, Coal Brow wood to the east and open fields. There is a separate site, Coleman's, to the west. The house lies to the northern edge of the site. There are hot houses to the south of the house close to the avenue or lane linking Moor Platt and Coleman's.
