Pencoed Castle

Pgds 20091209 203411 Penycoed2

Introduction

A 16th-century raised terrace walk and enclosure survive on the south side of the ruined castle. The enclosure is surrounded by walls that were in place by the mid-18th century but are likely to be earlier. The enclosure is now pasture but has previously been orchard and shrubbery.
