Introduction
The grounds of Perrystone Court were laid out in the 18th century, of which two avenues remain on a site overlooking a bend in the River Wye. The house was rebuilt in the 1860s and set in a garden of lawns and tree collections, with a lodge and kitchen garden. The house was burnt down in 1959 but a new house has been built on the same site and the grounds have been maintained.
