Introduction
Polefield Hall had a house with grounds and park bounded by Bury Old Road to the south, Cuckoo Lane to the west and north and Hedge Lane to the east. This is an irregular site, being roughly triangular with the house in the central section. There was a lodge and a drive leading from Bury Old Road entrance through a wooded area with two ponds. There was a productive garden to the western side of the house. The site was known as Polefield Hall by 1894. The site is now lost, and the area has been built over.
