Purdysburn House

Introduction

A demesne for a house of 1825, now demolished. The house overlooked a walled garden with a maintained Union Jack layout of canal and yew trees (now cypress) and a pets' graveyard. A wall divides a section containing a castellated tower, recent planting and glasshouses.
