Introduction
Rushfield was a house with grounds to the west of Wakefield Road opposite Heyrod Hall. There were open fields on all other boundaries. The house was at the south-west corner on Wakefield Road. There was a productive garden and pleasure ground almost separated from the house by a boundary belt. The site is now lost, and has been developed as Beech Wood Lane.
