Introduction
Woodrow High House, built in 1656, underwent reconstruction in the early 1800s. The layout of the gardens seen today is the result of these 19th-century changes, although the formal pleasure gardens have been landscaped. An octagonal underground 18th-century grotto is situated to the West of the house.
