Introduction
The house was built between 1890 and 1892 by Aston Webb, the entrance side being an astonishing Jacobson fantasy. The walled garden is one of the house's best features, and includes six two-domed summer houses in the corners. There is also a raised terrace surrounded by stone balustrading and urns, and a pair of lodges also by Aston Webb.
