Introduction
A park was formed west of Yockleton hamlet at some point between 1246 an 1274. In 1300 it comprised 70 acres (28 hectares), presumably centred on Yockleton Park Farm. That farm was established by the later 16th century, and it presumably dates from after the enclosure of the park.
